"Knotted Triple Gates" is an audio single by Birch Cooper to accompany his full-color monograph, Aleatoric Weave Structures, and the related solo exhibition, Convolution Weave Structures, presented at upfor.digital in spring of 2017. The audio is composed using a generative system, where three distinct digital “voices” influence and respond to one another, forming what Cooper calls “a cybernetic triple knot.” This composition is Cooper’s first purely generative, digital-only release.
